ABJ: Archbishop Jordan
Yesterday's PEPY workshop with students from grades 9 to 12 at ABJ was a beacon of hope and inspiration. It was heartwarming to hear their feedback at the end, especially how they resonated with PEPY’s vision – a vision that many of you share and communicate daily.
We are united in our mission to nurture resilience and provide mental health resources, understanding their unprecedented importance in today’s world. Our students’ voices echo a universal quest for meaning and aspiration, as they ponder profound questions like 'Who am I?' and 'How can we work together to build a strong community?'
It's clear that self-identity and a sense of belonging are more crucial than ever. PEPY's wellness workshops and tools are designed to be not only fun and engaging but also deeply impactful. They offer students and educators alike the opportunity to foster resilience, spark curiosity, support well-being, and safeguard mental health.
By introducing mental health supports and resilience coaching early on, we can transform small challenges into stepping stones for growth. The educational system is an optimal platform for providing these essential supports, allowing every young individual to thrive.
Listening and responding to the needs of our youth is paramount. We're committed to honoring their right to autonomy and self-determination, equipping them with the knowledge to make wise decisions, and guiding them on their journey to self-discovery.
Youth Alignment: Meeting kids where they are at.
The reflections from our workshop highlight this commitment. One student remarked, 'This was amazing. I’m super glad and honored to be a part of PEPY’s development.' These words are a testament to PEPY's alignment with our children’s needs, affirming that we are on the right path.
Together, let's continue to explore those vital questions – Who am I? Where do I belong? Where am I going? – and empower our students to find their place in the world, with confidence and clarity about their future."
